We are Peter and ShyAnn Egwalata, serving in Uganda. We first met in 2018, while serving as Christ's hands and feet in the rural villages of Luweero district, Uganda. We fell in love and knew His call on our lives to serve within Peter’s home district in Uganda. On November 14, 2020, we were united in marriage, and have been on a mission for God ever since. During our first year of marriage, the Lord solidified the way He wanted us to serve Him, through founding Abide Tribe Ministries.
We have a dream to see families revived and restored in the power of Christ. We know the depths of hardships that broken families face firsthand. It is out of this that we want to serve families as a whole - to empower all members of a family unit spiritually, economically, and academically.
Abide Tribe Ministries is founded on Christ's words in John 15, "Abide in me, and I in you..." when we are in Christ we are totally and radically transformed - and when we disciple, serve, love, and point the community to the one we abide in there is no way one can remain the same.
We have a dream at Abide Tribe Ministries and that is to transform communities one family at a time. This means it is our dream to ethically and sustainably transform families through Christ, which will then transform an entire community!
Our next step to continue to carry out this vision of transformation is constructing phase one of the Abide Tribe Ministries Community Center Complex.
Our dream for this center is to create a place for the community to come, learn, encounter Jesus, and be transformed. Over the next five years, we have a big dream that we are envisioning. Each year we want to complete another phase of the vision of the Abide Tribe Ministries Community Center Complex.
In 2025, we are undertaking Phase One of this vision. This phase includes an office building, fencing foundations that will also function as retaining walls, and a restroom block. It will cost $12,000 to construct.
Transforming communities one family at a time.
Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
