My goal is to provide practical services which encourage missionaries and pastors.
Prior to his retirement, my husband, Lucien, and I did this ministry together. Initially, our ministry was traveling to offer practical helps where we were needed; doing cooking, yard work, babysitting... whatever was helpful! After 7 years of mobile ministry, coinciding with the birth of our son, Dominique, in 2005, the Lord gave us the vision and means to purchase a guesthouse offering comfortable surroundings for pastors and missionaries to come for rest. Many hands came to help with renovations and Rapha House (the guesthouse and the non-profit) was born in 2007.
In 2022, Lucien, at 90 years of age, was finally ready to retire from the daily work of running a guesthouse; what attentive service he gave our guests over the years! Rapha House (the guesthouse) was sold to a missionary couple who continue the work of ministering to pastors and missionaries (running the non-profit, Rapha House). Lucien and I remain close at hand to Rapha House, as we have moved to a small cottage, just 20 steps away.
I continue to work with Rapha House offering administrative assistance, as well as preparing meals for both groups and individuals. As Lucien struggles now to remember things and his world has greatly narrowed, I’m so pleased to be able to minister close by, at Rapha House, and so grateful for the ministry partnership with the new owners.
My passion to provide rest and restoration for pastors and missionaries continues. Your financial and prayer support make it possible for me to do so!
Anticipating many more years of service for myself (I’m still 10-15 years from retirement), the Lord has opened the door for me to purchase “The Corner by the Cure,” which will also fall under Rapha House (the non-profit). Once fully renovated, the two buildings together will serve ministry groups who come for retreats, planning meetings, and rest.
“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted."
